Former Green Wave Makes Pro Bowl

Bengal and former Green Wave A.J. Green heads to Hawaii.

NFL wide receiver and former football player A.J. Green will head to Hawaii for the 2012 Pro Bowl, according to Cincinnati.com.

A rookie on the Cincinnati Bengals, Green of Ridgeville, S.C., was fourth in last April's NFL draft and now leads the league's rookies in receptions and yards, according to the story. Cincinnati.com also reported Green leads the league in catches of 35 yards or more with 11 and is tied with Baltimore's Torrey Smith for rookie receiving touchdowns with seven.

The game will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, televised on NBC. Pro Bowl spots are determined based on voting by players, coaches and fans, with each group’s vote having equal weight.
