Foxes Trick Patriots 42-35

The Swamp Foxes bounced back from their stinging loss to the Goose Creek Gators last week to defeat rival region team Fort Dorchester Thursday, finishing the regular season 8-3 and winning the Region 8-AAAA championship with an unblemished 4-0 record against their peers.

Fort Dorchester Patriots fell 42-35 to the Swamp, finishing their season at 7-4.

Qualifying for the playoffs, Ashley Ridge will also host a playoff game at home.

Ashley Ridge has lost to Goose Creek (ranked No. 3 in the state), Stratford and Wando.

Friday night, Summerville () plays its last game of the regular season against Colleton County, which has seen more losses than wins this season.
