Grant Expands High School Ed Opportunities
Dorchester County School District Two able to offer Saturday school now for high school credits.

Director of High Schools Kenneth Wilson announced Monday that a three-year, $286,711 At-Risk Student Innovative grant will allow the district to offer Saturday school and expand its existing evening school program to help at-risk youths graduate high school.Â
The grant was offered through the S.C. Department of Education's Office of Student Intervention Services.
The Saturday school program will be held once monthly and the existing evening school will now be available at all three high schools in the district, Wilson said.

Currently, the evening school serves 171 students, but the program's goal is to serve 350 students, Wilson said.
