Green Wave Tame Tigers 34-19
Summerville High controls the ball and wins during first game of the year.

Summerville Green Wave may have had less first downs and more punts than opponent Conway Tigers Thursday night, but the team controlled the ball for more than 28 minutes during the game — leading to a 34-19 win.
The season-opener at Conway was gained inch-by-inch through rushing — not one first down was made by Green Wave through passing. Only six completions of 11 attempts where made.

Nigel Frierson scored and Dalton Saunders scored twice on rushing during the game. Saunders threw it in for a touchdown for another seven on the board.Â
Kicker Parker Cleveland made all four extra points and kicked it in twice for field goals.Â
