J.C. Watts Campaigning for Gingrich Wednesday

Former Oklahoma Congressman J.C. Watts, who endorsed GOP presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich in late December, will have a meeting and lunch at 12:30 p.m. today at in Summerville.

Watts was a part of the "Gingrich Revolution" when Gingrich was House Speaker in the 1990s. 

The meeting is last-minute, according to Dorchester County Councilman Jay Byars, who said people can stop by, but encouraged folks to contact him first if possible. Byars can be reached via email (byarsj@gmail.com) or telephone, 324-6732.

Byars, not running for reelection until 2014, has not endorsed a candidate.
