Listen: Girl Calls 9-1-1 After Mom Shoots Dad

A 15-year-old girl contacts authorities after nonfatal shooting.

A young, brave voice made the 9-1-1 call after her mother allegedly shot her father in self defense March 12.

The 15-year-old daughter of the estranged couple made the call after Christopher Floyd Brown, 33, suffered a gunshot wound to the left thigh.

"He got shot," she told the operator. "He was beating her with the side of his belt and hitting her in the face and she lost it. Please come quick."

During the call, yelling can be heard the background as the couple continued to argue. In addition to the 15-year-old being present, there was also a 14-year-old and an 8-year-old in the house. The operator asked the young caller to get them to a safe place.

When deputies arrived, Brown was transported to the hospital and then later charged with criminal domestic violence as deputies deemed the wife's actions as self defense.
