Marijuana Grower Busted

Police responding to an allegation of simple assault found marijuana.

William Stanley Tillman, 48, was arrested July 10 and charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia by Summerville Police.

According to the incident report, police recovered three grams of marijuana and two marijuana plants at his residence, 441 Winter Drive in Summervillage Mobile Home Park.

Police were called to Tillman's home by a woman who told them Tillman had headbutted her and that he also was growing marijuana at the home.

Tillman allowed officers into the house. According to the incident report, officers saw potting dirt strewn about the house.

Tillman blamed the mess on his dogs getting into a few of his plants.

Officers found the marijuana plants on the backside of the residence, according to the report.
