Mayor Makes Board Appointments

Mayor Bill Collins announced his board appointments Oct. 12 during a regular meeting of town council. 

The appointees are: 

• Jeff Bowers, real estate broker and property manager, to board of architectural review.
• Cecile Cothran, artist, to board of architectural review.
• Bill Beauchene, president of and current board member, to the commercial design review board.
• Michael Gregor, architect and current board member, to the commercial design review board.
• Ryan Castle, government affairs director for Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, to the commercial design review board.
• Travis Williams, owner of East Coast Insurance Group and current commission member, to Planning Commission.
• William Mallery, Mead Westvaco Land Development, to Planning Commission.
• Trae McElheny, general manager of Probuild Gypsum, to Planning Commission.
• Elise Richardson, librarian and current board member, to board of zoning appeals. 
• Denis Tsukalas, retired U.S. Navy captain and town code officer, to board of zoning appeals.
• Richard Whitely, Disabled Construction superintendent, to construction and code board of appeals.
• Mike Dawson, director for the , to the tree committee.
• Richard Sutton, retired forester, to the tree committee.
• Faye Campbell, retired medical technologist, to the tree committee.
• Mark Greenslit, radiologist and current board member, to the bike and pedestrian committee.
• Mike Salley, financial advisor and current committee member, to the bike and pedestrian committee.
• Carol Sitton, assistant internal auditor, to the Municipal Election Commission. 

One seat is still available each on the construction and code board of appeals and on the tree committee.
