Pastor's Daughter Admits to Stealing from Church

Summerville Police arrested Miranda Shani Miller, 20, of Goose Creek on Nov. 8 after she turned herself in for allegedly stealing $708 from in Summerville. 

According to the incident report, Miller's father — church pastor John Haynes — called the police after the church's finance director alerted him to the missing funds. 

Miller, who admitted to Summerville Police to stealing the money and spending it, allegedly spent $567 at Walmart in Goose Creek, according to the incident report.

In the report, Haynes said he would "likely prosecute this incident."

Miller is charged with petty larceny and will appear in court Dec. 13.
