Poll: Representative Proposes Statewide Education Millage

Rep. Jenny Horne said a statewide education millage rate versus a county-set millage rate may be coming and it would decrease the current millage in many districts.

Horne spoke at the in Summerville as part of the legislative luncheon Thursday. 

She said a statewide millage rate, based on per pupil spending, would likely be decreased for many districts around the state. She cited higher millage rates in under performing districts, and lower millage rates in better districts.
