Rep. Scott, Gov. Haley Dubbed Rising Political Stars

Rep. Tim Scott, S.C.-District 1, and S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley joined the ranks of Elizabeth Warren, Rahm Emmanuel, Jon Huntsman, Chris Christie and Paul Ryan as Newsweek's Rising Political Stars of 2012.

Scott catapulted onto the national scene earlier this year during the debt ceiling debate that had everyone holding their breath this summer — partly because of and partly because of .
