Results of the Alzheimer's Walk to date. 2013.

Hi gentle reader,
I though you might like to know the the Charleson Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association has now reached over $96,000 and counting from the the Alzheimer's walk held here at Patriots Point held on Sept. 21st!

Hundreds of families, walk teams, and those with dementia and those that just wanted to walk for the cause.

I bet you didn't know, there are  and over 80,000 persons right here in South Carolina suffering from dementia. In fact one of free seniors die with the Alzheimer's or other dementia.

In 2012, 15.4 million caregivers provided an estimated 17.5 billion hours of unpaid care which was valued at more than $216 billion.

Did your know gentle reader, that Alzheimer's disease is the sixth leading cause of death in our country and for which there is no cure.

I personally want to thank all of you who participated in this year's walk. Thank you and God bless.

Yours for the cure,

Kaye Fox

PS, it's not too late to donate to this year's walk you can send a check to the local Charleston chapter right here in the low country.
