School Crime Report: Feb. 14

- On Jan. 17, two female students were arrested for disorderly conduct after an altercation.
- On Jan. 19, 17-year-old Givhans Alternative student Maya Alyssa Brown and another minor student were arrested for disorderly conduct. Brown was jailed pending bond hearing, and the minor was released to his mother.
- On Jan. 20, Givhans Alternative student Derrick Lamar Ramsey, 17, of Ladson and a minor student were arrested for disorderly conduct. Ramsey was jailed pending bond hearing, and the minor was released to his parent.
- On Jan. 20, an Ashley Ridge High student was arrested for disorderly conduct. The alleged altercation occurred after comments on Facebook.
- On Jan. 20, a Givhans Alternative student was arrested for disorderly conduct after allegedly becoming difficult and not listening when his cell phone was confiscated for improper use. He also allegedly cussed out the school principal. The subject was released to his mother.
- On Jan. 24, four students, ages 14-16, were allegedly involved in a fight. According to the incident report, two of the subjects used to be friends but had a falling out. The fight allegedly began on Facebook the night before, and then spilled over into text messages. No students were arrested.
- On Jan. 24, Khadijah Keyania Hart, 18, of Summerville and a minor student were arrested for disorderly conduct at Givhans Alternative. According to the incident report, the fight began after the minor student showed Hart explicit images on his cell phone. Deputies discovered lewd pictures and videos depicting rape allegedly on the phone after the incident. Hart was detained to await bond hearing, and the juvenile was released to his mother.
- On Jan. 25, a 14-year-old student was arrested for disturbing schools. According to the incident report, a student attempted to leave the campus after an alleged altercation. The resource officer allegedly detained the student, who allegedly became aggressive. The student was arrested but then released to his mother.
