Summerville Man Arrested on Gun Offenses
Charleston Police arrest Byron Christopher Kinsey of Summerville on multiple gun charges.

A Summerville man, out on probation for failure to stop for a blue light, now faces multiple gun charges after a brief foot-chase and his apprehension in downtown Charleston Tuesday.
Police allege Byron Christopher Kinsey, 26, was riding his bicycle the wrong way on a downtown Charleston one-way street. When an officer tried to stop him at about 3:45 p.m., Kinsey allegedly fled on his bicycle, leading officers on a brief foot chase.
Officers apprehended Kinsey after he allegedly jumped off of his bicycle and allegedly discarded a handgun.

He has been charged with unlawful carryingof a handgun, unlawful possession of a handgun by a felon, possession of a stolen handgun, public disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and riding the wrong way on a one-way street.
The pursuit began on Jackson Street, and ended on Stuart Street, where they found Kinsey inside 76 Stuart St.
