Summerville Voice Featured in New Album

At 13 years old, Summerville's Shayla DeGregorio will be the youngest voice featured on the new "Price of the Carolinas" compilation album coming out Jan. 24.

Shayla competed in the Charlotte station 95.1's audition, which saw more than 4,000 entries. Due to Shayla's age, she had to receive a special exception since she was younger than the rules allowed.

Shayla was 12 when the song was recorded original song "Take Me Away."
