Suspected Dryer Bandits Charged in Two Jurisdictions
Summerville's dryer-theft spree halted with two suspects in custody.
Noel Randolph Rogers, 40, of Summerville and Doris Elizabeth Bernhardt, 49, of North Charleston were charged today for eight counts of third-degree burglary for allegedly jacking dryers from apartment complexes from Aug. 27 until Sept. 19 in Summerville.

The two were given a $150,000 surety bond and are being kept at Charleston County Detention Center, where they were originally booked for unrelated charges.

Rogers and Bernhardt were also charged today by Charleston County Sheriff's Office for a Sept. 14 theft of a commercial washing machine in Ladson.
