Teen Charged in Oakbrook Middle Slapping

Summerville Police arrested a 13-year-old student Oct. 4 after she allegedly slapped another student in the school's cafeteria.

Police do not release the names of arrested minors. 

According to the incident report, the responding officer noted discoloration on the victim's left side of his face. The report stated that the subject said the catalyst to the slap was the alleged victim's saliva landed on her arm, not in an intentional way.

When the victim refused to apologize, the girl allegedly slapped him, according to the report.

The victim's parents are pursuing charges of assault, according to the report.
