Town administrator, strong-mayor issue still unknown

Council met Monday in executive session.

Mayor Bill Collins remained mum Monday after an executive session, which discussed the vacant town administrator position, during the special meeting of council at town hall.

On Sunday, Collins said he was looking to create a "strong-mayor" administration, where the vacant town administrator position would be assumed under his watch. The mayor position would become a full-time one.

"We just had a thorough discussion," Collins said.

If the town council does vote on a strong-mayor leadership, then the issue would be taken to voters in a referendum.
