Town Requests Proposals for Attorney, Solicitor
Those interested in serving the town of Summerville can apply now through Aug. 31.
Saying that this is now a "new administration," Mayor Bill Collins lead the town council in a discussion regarding the town attorney's and solicitor's position during the regular meeting Wednesday at town hall.
The council voted to request proposals from "attorneys interested in serving Summerville in corporate council," Collins said. Currently, Mark Stokes is the town attorney.
Councilman Bob Jackson motioned for the action to include the town solicitor position.

The amended motion passed unanimously. Proposals will be accepted through Aug. 31.
