Your Money, Your Roads: October
Here's the latest update on what the Dorchester County Sales Tax Transportation Authority is doing.

The Dorchester County One-Cent Sales Tax Transportation Authority had its regular meeting Oct. 10 at county council chambers and had the following updates to its projects around the county.
- Dorchester Road: Clearing and grubbing is still ongoing. Full depth patching in approximately two weeks. Mt. Creek was to have moved in last week to start work on box culvert. Utility work is ongoing.
- US Route 78: Currently in Phase I with removal of silt fence. Finishing up punch list from final inspection.
- Sullivan's Landing Road: Under construction and completion date has been moved to Nov. 18.
- Berlin G. Myers Parkway: Still working with FEMA and Federal Highway Administration for permits. .
- US Highway 78: In Phase II with right of way drawings have been submitted. Phase III right of way drawing are under review by S.C. Department of Transportation.
- Bacons Bridge Road: Currently in Phase I and II, and working on Grant Application for the 50/50 Federal Match Program. Also, working on obtaining right of ways.
- Old Fort: In Phase II and working on right of ways.
Here is what's going on with slated intersection improvements.
- US Highway 78/SC 27: Authority is waiting on comments from SCDOT and hopes to start on this by end of the year.
- US Highway 78/S-22: Currently waiting on comments from SCDOT.
- US Highway 78/Deming Way Road: Final plans have been submitted.
- SC Highway 61/Upper Summers Road: Currently waiting on comments from SCDOT.

- J. R. Wilson Constr. is paving five county roads: Ancrum Lane, Connelly Farm Road, Mt. Pisgah Road, Twins Road and Deerwood Road.
- The authority is working on contract and obtaining right of ways for Dantzler Road, Fairfield Road, Haven Road, Hill Branch Road, Neighborhood Drive, Indigo Road and Swan Drive.
