• MVP finishes second in division at Sanford Pentagon volleyball tourney (mitchellrepublic.com) — Canton High School's volleyball team made waves at the Sanford Pentagon tournament, handing Mount Vernon/Plankinton its only loss in the White Division championship after an earlier split of their two matches. Several other South Dakota and Iowa teams also battled through multiple brackets, with strong showings from Hanson, St. Thomas More, Colman-Egan, Wagner, and others.
