1. Pettigrew Museum unveils exhibit showcasing the falls (keloland.com) — Sioux Falls residents can look forward to new second-floor exhibits at the Pettigrew Home and Museum, including a detailed look at the Big Sioux River falls and their future role in downtown development. Crews are refreshing the gallery now, and the free, public exhibits—also featuring a "Making a Museum" display of Pettigrew's own artifacts—open November 19.
2. Timmy Williams joins SiouxperCon this weekend (keloland.com) — Sioux Falls is hosting SiouxperCon this weekend, bringing actors, artists, and comedian Timmy Williams for three days of panels, a new comedy festival, and family-friendly activities. Organizers hope locals will show up, enjoy the packed schedule, and support three charities—Make-A-Wish South Dakota & Montana, Reach Literacy, and the JY6 Foundation—while proving there's plenty to do close to home.
3. The growth still happening at Lake Lorraine (keloland.com) — Lake Lorraine on Sioux Falls' west side continues to fill in, with a former Starbucks on Marion Road being converted into the city's fifth Qdoba and new offices, homes, and lakeside lots coming online. Developers and the Friessen family highlight remaining projects, growing recreation options like farmers markets and paddleboard races, and how the area is becoming a major destination for shopping and lakefront living.
4. 11A football: Sioux Falls Christian pulls away from Dell Rapids (siouxfallslive.com) — Sioux Falls football fans saw Sioux Falls Christian stay unbeaten with a 28-15 home win over Dell Rapids at Bob Young Field, powered by four rushing touchdowns from Trey Meehan. Despite penalties and missed chances, the Chargers' defense and fresh offensive line controlled the second half, showing why they're top-ranked in 11A.
5. Paul Eric Krogstad (heartlandfunerals.com) — Sioux Falls readers are remembering Paul Eric Krogstad, born in the city in 1959 and recently passing at Dougherty Hospice House after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Though he made his home in Chamberlain, he kept close family ties in Sioux Falls and was widely known for his love of walleye fishing, guiding, and the outdoors, with a celebration of life planned for spring 2027.
