Street Closures In Sioux Falls

Street Closures – Galway Avenue and 53rd Street

Beginning on Thursday, June 16, 2020, South Galway Avenue between 53rd Street and 57th Street, as well as West 53rd Street from Galway Avenue to Kristen Circle will be closed to allow construction crews to perform asphalt repairs. Motorists should utilize 57th Street, Grinnell Ave, and Sertoma Avenue as alternate routes.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – 12th Street

Beginning on Friday morning, July 17, 2020, East 12th Street will be closed to through traffic between Cliff Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.

The City of Sioux Falls Street Department will be applying a slurry seal.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete by 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2020.
