• Watertown High School Celebrates 2026 Homecoming Week (mykxlg.com) — Watertown High School's Homecoming Week is in full swing, with theme days, powder puff games, a parade, and Friday night's football matchup against Mitchell all happening right here in town. Royalty winners have already been crowned, and students, families, and community members can join in activities at the Civic Arena, Allen Mitchell Athletic Complex, and around Watertown through Friday night's dance.
• New Aberdeen News owner Lee Enterprises invests in SD journalism (aberdeennews.com) — Watertown's own Public Opinion newspaper is now part of Lee Enterprises, which is expanding its investment in local journalism across South Dakota. Company leaders say they plan to strengthen reporting in Watertown, Aberdeen, Sioux Falls and Rapid City, aiming to boost coverage of community issues and statewide stories that affect residents.
