• A 'Story' To Tell At Mead: New Permanent Exhibit Chronicling Yankton's Early History Set To Debut (yankton.net) — A major new exhibit on Yankton's first 100 years opens at the Mead Museum this weekend, with a ribbon cutting Friday and full public access starting Saturday. Curators spent years assembling 12 galleries and hundreds of artifacts to tell Yankton's story, from Dakota Territory days through WWII and modern recreation, with special programs and a Native Nations Blessing Day on Sunday.
• Qualifying Continues At World 3D (yankton.net) — World-class archers are competing this week at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center, where rain forced organizers to shift events to safer nearby fields. Visiting teams, including Australia's, are praising Yankton's scenery, extensive archery facilities, and friendly, small-town feel, and many say they'd gladly return for future championships.
