One year after teen's killing, Waterbury neighborhood sees drop in crime (wfsb.com) — A year after 17-year-old Carizma Fox was killed on Willow Street, Waterbury police say crime has dropped in that neighborhood thanks to a mobile command unit and more officers on foot and bike. Residents report seeing kids playing outside again, and city leaders are planning a permanent citizen services center to keep multiple departments engaged directly with the area.
