Ethics complaint filed against NCC Recorder of Deeds (delawarepublic.org) — An ethics complaint involving New Castle County’s longtime Recorder of Deeds centers on allegations that he offered a rival candidate a job to dissuade him from running. The Delaware Department of Justice and the New Castle County Ethics Commission will review the complaint, a process that could shape trust in how key county offices serving New Castle residents are run.

Delmarva Power sues to overturn interim rate cut (spotlightdelaware.org) — Electric customers in New Castle County could see bills rise faster after Delmarva Power appealed state regulators’ decision to cut its interim rate hike. 4. NCCPD Announces the Passing of Spartan (nccpdnews.com) — New Castle County residents are mourning Spartan, the beloved police horse who served in the county’s Mounted Unit for more than a decade. The gentle Clydesdale was a familiar presence at parades, community events, and special details before cancer led to his peaceful passing this week. Officers and Carousel Park staff were by his side at the end.
