Lewiston and Clarkston Proclaim September 25 'Dolly Parton Appreciation Day' (bigcountrynewsconnection.com) — Lewiston has joined Clarkston in declaring September 25 “Dolly Parton Appreciation Day,” spotlighting the Imagination Library’s impact on local kids. With more than 52,000 free books already mailed in Asotin and Nez Perce counties, Twin County United Way is asking LC Valley residents to donate or help families enroll eligible children to keep the program growing.

Bengals Host Coeur d'Alene Tonight (koze.com) — Lewiston High School’s Bengals are back at the P1FCU Sports Complex tonight, hosting undefeated, third-ranked Coeur d’Alene at 7 p.m. Fans in Lewiston can attend in person or listen on The River 105.1 FM or stream online, while several nearby schools also hit the road for key matchups.

Lewiston Civic Theatre to Present Agatha Christie's ‘And Then There Were None' (dailyfly.com) — Lewiston theatergoers can catch Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None” at the former Lewiston High School auditorium on Normal Hill from Oct. 16 through Nov. 1. Performances run weekends with evening and matinee options, and tickets are available online, by phone, or at the door for this suspenseful, murder-themed production.

Best colleges in Idaho (ncwlife.com) — Lewiston’s own Lewis-Clark State College ranks third among Idaho’s four-year schools in a new statewide list, giving local students a strong option close to home. The ranking compares tuition, acceptance rates, and outcomes across Idaho, with Boise State and the University of Idaho taking the top two spots.
   

5. Clarkston man faces nearly two-year sentence for eluding pol... (lmtribune.com) — A high-speed police chase that began in Lewiston and raced through Asotin and Garfield counties into Whitman County has led to a guilty plea from the Clarkston driver. Prosecutors in Nez Perce and Asotin counties agreed not to file additional charges as part of the deal, though Garfield County may still pursue its own case.
