A private consortium will fund construction and recoup costs through tolls, while TDOT says revised designs lessen impacts and has scheduled September public meetings, including one at the Pruitt Branch Library, to address neighborhood concerns.
• Man charged nearly 4 years after 19-year-old killed in South Nashville (newschannel5.com) — An arrest has been made in the killing of a 19-year-old found shot in a burning car at Southern Hills Condominiums in South Nashville, nearly four years after the crime. Metro Nashville detectives say new witness interviews, combined with earlier ballistics evidence, led to a criminal homicide charge against a 35-year-old already jailed in an unrelated robbery case.
