• Suspect charged in June shooting that left three people injured in South Nashville (wsmv.com) — Residents in South Nashville are learning that police have charged a 30-year-old man in a June shooting that wounded three people and sent them to Nashville General Hospital. Detectives say surveillance video shows him firing from a silver sedan into a Chevrolet Impala. He now faces multiple attempted homicide and weapons charges and remains jailed without eligibility for bond.
   

• Nashville Fire brush truck stolen, crashed into three cars including officer (tennessean.com subscription) — A teen in crisis stole a Nashville Fire Department brush truck from Station 35 on Hobson Pike and led officers on a chase down Murfreesboro Pike, crashing into several vehicles. The pursuit ended near Una Antioch Pike, a route many South Nashville residents use daily. Three adults had minor injuries, and the teen was taken for evaluation as charges are considered.
