1. Brentwood Gives Over $300,000 to Local Schools and Organizations (williamsonsource.com) — Brentwood has just approved more than $300,000 in city contributions for local schools and community organizations, including major support for Brentwood High, Ravenwood, and several middle and elementary schools. Nonprofits like FiftyForward Martin Center, Brentwood Ball Club, and Brentwood Blaze also received funding, continuing a decades-long pattern of taxpayer investment in education and community services.
2. Mourners gather outside Dolly Parton's Brentwood home for a second day after news of the icon's death (wsmv.com) — Mourners continue gathering outside Dolly Parton's Brentwood home, where a growing memorial of flowers, signs, and balloons has been temporarily moved indoors to her on-site chapel because of heavy rain and will return outside Thursday. Fans from across Tennessee are driving through the Brentwood neighborhood, leaving tributes and sharing how the late icon's music, kindness, and faith shaped their lives.
3. WCS High Schools Remain Among Best in State (williamsonsource.com subscription) — Brentwood families can celebrate that Brentwood High is ranked sixth in Tennessee and 220th nationally in the latest U.S. News & World Report list. Several other Williamson County high schools, including Ravenwood and Franklin, also placed near the top, with all 11 WCS high schools landing in the state's top 70.
4. R3 Medical Companies - 726330 - 08/14/2026 (fda.gov) — A federal FDA warning letter to R3 Medical Companies details alleged violations involving unapproved biologic products and manufacturing practices, and notes the firm's ties to an R3 Anti-Aging & MedSpa location on Thoroughbred Lane in Brentwood. The agency says the products are being treated as unapproved drugs and biologicals and warns that further enforcement could follow if issues aren't corrected.
