• 'Weigh Down' church leader sentenced for healthcare fraud (roysreport.com) — A Brentwood optometrist and Remnant Fellowship leader has been sentenced to more than three years in prison and ordered to repay $6.9 million after admitting her Brentwood Eye Clinic submitted years of fraudulent Medicare and TennCare claims. The case has also shaken Remnant Fellowship in Brentwood, which removed her from its leadership page as federal investigators detailed how the scheme operated and how the money was spent.
