• WCS Recognizing August Bus Drivers of the Month (williamsonsource.com) — Williamson County Schools has launched its 2026–27 Bus Driver of the Month program, honoring six August drivers who help safely transport students in communities including Brentwood. Families can nominate standout drivers online and, if interested, even apply to join the transportation team. Recognized drivers receive breakfast, a Sonic gift card, and a certificate supported by Sonic Drive-In.
   

• Former Tennessee Agriculture Deputy Commissioner Ryan King Joining MTE (wgnsradio.com) — Middle Tennessee Electric, which provides power to Brentwood and other nearby cities, has hired former state agriculture deputy commissioner Ryan King as its new Chief External Relations Officer starting November 2. King will oversee government affairs, community relations, and communications for the co-op, bringing extensive experience in agriculture, economic development, and electric cooperatives that could shape future infrastructure and broadband efforts in Brentwood's service area.
   

• Red Raiders Shut Out by Brentwood, 55-0 (thunder1320.com) — Brentwood's Bruins dominated at home Friday night, shutting out Coffee County 55-0 behind 390 yards of offense and a 45-0 halftime lead. The Red Raiders lost starting quarterback Kaysen Lowery to a shoulder injury, struggled with turnovers and field position, and now head into a bye week before hosting Summit on October 16.
