• Local History: Chattanooga parks and city government reenvisioned (timesfreepress.com) — Chattanooga's early 1900s leaders hired famed planner John Nolen to design a connected system of parks, boulevards, and playgrounds, sparking a push to reform city government. A fiery 1910 debate over misused park bond funds led Mayor T.C. Thompson and prominent business figures to call for a new governing structure so Chattanooga could fully invest in green space and long-term growth.

• Alex Krehl's hat trick propels Chattanooga FC to 5-2 wn over Carolina Core FC (local3news.com) — Chattanooga FC fans just saw Alex Krehl net his first career hat trick in a 5–2 win over Carolina Core FC, keeping him in the MLS Next Pro Golden Boot chase. With Tate Robertson climbing the assists leaderboard, CFC now heads to Huntsville on Sept. 9 before closing the regular season at Fort Finley on Sept. 13 against Atlanta United 2.
