Native Chattanoogan Dr. Darria will bring expert health advice to readers in column (timesfreepress.com) — Starting Oct. 18, Chattanooga families will get a new weekly health column from native emergency physician Dr. Darria Long Gillespie, who now practices at Erlanger and teaches at UT College of Medicine–Chattanooga. She'll answer reader questions on kids' safety, women's health, and family wellness, inviting local parents to email concerns that keep them up at night.
3. Fire displaces residents at Chattanooga apartment complex, one burned (newschannel9.com) — A major fire at the MAA Hamilton Apartments on East Brainerd Road in Chattanooga damaged about 20 units Friday night, displacing residents and sending one person to the hospital with burns.
