• New 228-Unit Affordable Housing Community Coming to Dickson (dicksoncountysource.com) — A major 228-unit affordable housing community, Honeywood Dickson, is now under construction on Cowan Road, bringing new one- to four-bedroom homes and amenities to local residents. With units reserved for a range of income levels and vouchers from the Dickson Housing Authority, the $88.1 million project is slated to open first homes in fall 2027 and finish by March 2028.
• Dickson County Volleyball Sweeps Three Matches in Strong Week (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Dickson County High's volleyball team is riding momentum after sweeping Hickman County, Northwest, and Waverly Central last week. With their coach praising improved confidence and communication, the Lady Cougars now head into their final regular-season matches, including two key home dates, aiming to carry this strong play into the postseason.
• Tennessee Highway Patrol Welcomes 27 New State Troopers (williamsonsource.com) — Tennessee has welcomed 27 new state troopers, including one assigned to Dickson County, following the graduation of the Highway Patrol's milestone 100th class. After 17 weeks of intensive training, these troopers will now begin serving communities across the state, with local residents seeing Donald Macklin join law enforcement coverage in Dickson County.
