Franklin city land eyed for both transitional housing complex and bio-solids sewage storage site (newschannel5.com) — City-owned land off Old Carter's Creek Pike in Franklin is being considered for either a transitional tiny-home housing project or a bio-solids composting and sewage storage facility, a choice that could affect nearby residents. Longtime neighbors Diane and James Carothers support the Stable House housing plan and oppose the sewage option, as city officials prepare to revisit both proposals in October.

Members can expect capital improvements to the course, clubhouse, and amenities, with changes shaped by input from Franklin-area golfers and staff.
   

4. The 10 most booked restaurants in Nashville, according to OpenTable (tennessean.com subscription) — Franklin diners now have a spot on OpenTable's list of most-booked Nashville-area restaurants, with Culinary Dropout drawing praise for its service and casual, music-focused atmosphere at its Aspen Grove Drive location. The roundup highlights several popular Nashville destinations, but closes by spotlighting this Franklin option for locals seeking a buzzy night out without driving downtown.
   

5. TSSAA wrestling Division I state championships moving to Chattanooga (tennessean.com subscription) — Franklin will lose the TSSAA Division I wrestling traditional state tournament in 2027 and 2028, as the event moves from the Williamson County Ag Expo Center to Chattanooga's McKenzie Arena. TSSAA leaders praised Franklin's years as host but said coaches wanted an arena setting, while some wrestling events will still remain in Middle Tennessee.
