• 'She always showed up for others': Studio honors friend killed by domestic violence with free classes (newschannel5.com) — A Franklin Pilates studio is honoring their friend Allison "Che Che" Rawl, killed in a domestic violence incident, by offering three free classes on Sunday, October 4 and encouraging donations to Shear Haven. The partnership also promotes brief domestic violence awareness training so Franklin residents can better recognize warning signs and support people who may be in danger.
   

• FEAR FEST! Hotel Transylvania (2012) (downtownfranklintn.com) — Franklin families can catch "Hotel Transylvania" as part of the Franklin Theatre's monthlong Fear Fest Halloween movie series, which mixes kid-friendly animations, horror classics, and deeper-cut thrillers. The theater is also hosting a TerrorThon mystery double feature, giving local horror fans several chances to celebrate spooky season close to home.
