JCPD: Woman charged after alleged assault, theft of dog (wjhl.com) — Johnson City police say a woman has been charged with aggravated robbery after an alleged assault and theft of a dog near South Roan Street and Lafe Cox Drive. Officers report the dog was later recovered and returned to its owner, while the suspect was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, giving nearby residents important context about the incident.
2. Johnson City man charged with aggravated rape nearly one year after report (johnsoncitypress.com) — Johnson City police report that a 23-year-old local man has been indicted and charged with two counts of aggravated rape, nearly a year after an initial report in October 2025. Investigators say the suspect and victim first met online, and forensic testing preceded the Washington County grand jury indictment. His next court appearance is scheduled for November 30.
