Colleen Slemmer's mother, May Martinez, says she supports the decision and hopes the execution will finally bring her some peace, though she still seeks the last missing piece of her daughter's remains.

The broader trend, popular on TikTok and Instagram, swaps in new questions to make ordinary answers sound shocking, raising fresh questions about context and online identity.
