Double shooting investigation prompts large police presence, blocks Kirby Parkway at Highway 385 on-ramp (wmcactionnews5.com) — A double-shooting investigation has Kirby Parkway near the Highway 385 on-ramp and Mount Moriah Extended blocked, and Memphis drivers are being urged to find alternate routes. Tennessee Highway Patrol and Memphis Police set up a large presence Saturday night and say the closures will remain while they gather details about the shooting.
3. Memphis honors Tom Lee with second annual lantern parade (actionnews5.com) — Tom Lee Park lit up this weekend as Memphians gathered for the second annual lantern parade honoring local hero Tom Lee, who saved 32 people from the Mississippi River in 1925.
