The Division of Housing and Community Development is virtually hosting its 3rd annual State of Memphis Housing Summit 2021 on October 28th from 9 am. to 4 p.m.

This will be a state-of-the-art, virtual conference, designed to provide a platform for the entire Memphis community and beyond to discuss and hear from National thought leaders on housing and neighborhood issues facing our nation.

The Summit will have roundtable discussion featuring the Honorable Mayor Jim Strickland and his counterparts Honorable Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba of Jackson, Mississippi and Honorable Mayor Frank Scott Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas. This Mayor’s roundtable discussion will focus on the way these cities have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated housing challenges such as homelessness, rental market instability, and neighborhood change.

Important topics, such as Equitable Recovery from the COVID Pandemic, Housing Planning and Intentionality, and Housing Stability will be addressed throughout the day. Participants will be able to join this virtual summit through the Hopin platform, which will feature opportunities for networking, exhibitor booths, interaction with session speakers and more.
