Memphis spots to consider:

  • Overton Park has open lawns and gentle hills that locals use for sledding, snow play, and winter walks when snow accumulates. Its central location in Midtown makes it one of the easiest places to head for a quick snow day outing. (Source: Overton Park Conservancy)

Further outdoors:

  • T.O. Fuller State Park — This wooded state park in south Memphis has open areas and natural terrain that can work for sledding and winter exploring when snowfall sticks, and it’s about a 20 minute drive from central Memphis.
