• Glancy Charles Steiger (sumnercountysource.com) — A longtime educator and veteran, Glancy Charles Steiger was born in Monteagle in 1932 and recently passed away at age 94 in Hartsville. His obituary notes his service in both the U.S. Army and Marines, his career teaching graphic arts, and the family members who survive him. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and no services are planned.
