"The importance of teaching our children vital core values"
Children need to learn vital core values because these values help guide how they think, act, and treat others throughout life. Strong character skills are just as important as academic skills because they shape friendships, help them make better choices, build confidence, and prepare for a future of success.
What are some of the values Characters of Character helps build in our children and youth?
Something to consider, our children are listening to what we say, the conversations we have and the reactions we show in our daily lives. They most likely want to be like us, so it is up to us to be their role models, and to teach them well. My favorite quote is by Benjamin Franklin:
TELL me and I forget, TEACH me and I remember, INVOLVE me and I learn. Find creative ways to engage your children in conversations and activities to encourage their character to grow and shine.

Our main project at Characters of Character is donating our Superhero Character building activity boxes to Children's Hospitals in Tennessee and Illinois. Here in Tennessee we have donated to ETCH, now the Dolly Parton Children's Hospital, Kids Rainbow Clinic in Clarksvile and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. We would love your support to bring 40 boxes to Dolly Partons Children's Hospital in Knoxville.
Join us in honoring Dolly Parton with our superhero character building activity boxes to the Dolly Parton Children's Hospital.DPCH was formally known as ETCH or East Tennessee Children's Hospital & they are one of the most appreciative locations we've been fortunate enough to donate our resources to.Our goal is to donate 40 superhero character building activity boxes & we will be putting all of our donations received in September towards this project (including our social media challenge donations!) so we're hoping we can exceed the goal of 40 boxes. No donation is too small & we look forward to sharing more about our boxes.Miss Joni is still out of commission from being in front of the camera with her recovering from a severe case of poison ivy & now a torn ACL, but she promised she's going to do some overdubbing on videos so you'll hear her voice soon
