About The ALS Association of Tennessee
The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. As the preeminent ALS organization, The Association leads the way in research, care services, public education, and public policy — giving help and hope to those facing the disease. The Tennessee Chapter supports people living with ALS and their loved ones through localized care and resources throughout the state of Tennessee. We leave no stone unturned in search for the cure of this progressive neurodegenerative disease. Our Chapter first came about in 1987 with the Central Tennessee Chapter, along with the Mid-South Chapter (Memphis) and officially became a single corporation when the Central Tennessee Chapter, Mid-South Chapter and the Tri-Cities Support Group merged in 2005 becoming as we know today The ALS Association Tennessee Chapter. Our staff includes the CEO, Director of Finance & Operations, Development & Special Events Manager, Development & Communications Manager, Development Associate, Care Services Director and Care Service Coordinators, who all work together to raise much needed funds and provide services and support for our Chapter families. The staff is guided by a Board of Directors. Devoted volunteers and community partners who provide invaluable support in all areas of the Chapter.
