About The Family Center

The Family Center exists to provide support to parents and their children. We are here to help change their story and prevent families from experiencing the impact of negative child/ parent relationships by providing skills and support to vulnerable parents. The Family Center is here to proactively support and empower parents to break generational cycles of adverse childhood experiences and create safe, stable and nurturing relationships with their children. The Family Center is our board, our staff, the families we serve, our partners, our donors…and our communities. We care deeply for families and believe ALL children deserve to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment. Just as a home needs a firm foundation, children need a firm foundation in childhood to grow and thrive. The parents we serve are from a variety of backgrounds but are often themselves victims of adverse childhood experiences and now deal with the aftermath of a cracked foundation that reflect in the way they parent their children. These parents long for healing and hope. Founded by Exchange Clubs in 1985, The Family Center is a licensed Tennessee Child Abuse Prevention Agency serving Middle Tennessee through offices in Nashville and Murfreesboro. We belong to the National Parent Aide Network and hold the highest level of accreditation, AAA, from the National Exchange Club Foundation. With a mission of empowering parents and healing families, The Family Center focuses on teaching positive parenting skills to empower parents to raise safe, happy healthy children. You can help us break the cycle of adverse childhood experiences. YOU can give these families the opportunity of a lifetime.
