Today's riddle: What do you call a one-legged Big Foot? 🤔 (Answer below!)
• Renbottom, John P.V. (nps.gov) — A young Illinois blacksmith-turned-soldier was sent in 1865 to guard key railroad bridges near Tullahoma, underscoring how strategic the town's rail lines were during the Civil War. Within a month of arriving in Tullahoma, he contracted measles, died at the regimental hospital, and was later buried at Stones River National Cemetery.
• Raytheon Lands Massive $20.7B Air Force AMRAAM Missile Contract (clearancejobs.com) — Amentum Technology, based in Tullahoma, has secured a $572 million U.S. Space Systems Command contract to support critical warning and space systems at Colorado's Cheyenne Mountain Complex through 2033. While the work happens out of state, the long-term deal could mean more high-skill jobs, hiring, and economic activity tied to the company's Tullahoma operations.
