Donald Trump Praises Cruz, Takes Shot At O'Rourke On Twitter
President Donald Trump will visit Houston for a rally in support of Sen. Ted Cruz Oct. 22.

President Donald Trump heaped praise on Sen. Ted Cruz on Twitter Wednesday morning following the debate between the Texas senator and Rep. Beto O'Rourke. Trump claims Cruz "has done so much for Texas, including massive cuts in taxes and regulations - which has brought Texas to the best jobs numbers in the history of the state" while O'Rourke "would blow it all."
Ted Cruz has done so much for Texas, including massive cuts in taxes and regulations - which has brought Texas to the best jobs numbers in the history of the state. He watches carefully over your 2nd Amendment. O’Rourke would blow it all! Ted has long had my Strong Endorsement!

O'Rourke and Cruz squared off Tuesday in San Antonio for a debate on foreign and domestic policy. Both men disagreed on pretty much every subject, including the U.S. deficit and health care. On the latter, Cruz believes the cost of socialized medicine would be huge and ultimately triple people's taxes. O'Rourke wants everyone to afford to see a doctor and "live to their full potential" by lowering health care costs for working families.
