More Than 100,000 Pounds Of Ground Beef Recalled
Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling approximately 132,606 pounds of ground beef products contaminated with E. Coli.

FORT MORGAN, COLO. — Roughly 132,606 pounds of ground beef products have been recalled across the U.S. due to possible E. Coli contamination, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The meat was produced by Cargill Meat Solutions, a Fort Morgan, Colo., business.
The meat in question was produced and packaged on June 21 and shipped around the country, FSIS statedThe products bear the number “EST. 86R” inside the USDA mark of inspection, FSIS added. FSIS found 17 illnesses and one death with illness onset between July 5 to July 25, 2018, stemming from this contamination.
Anyone who has purchased these products are asked to thrown them away or return them to the place of purchase, FSIS said. Illness from eating the contaminated meat can manifest through diarrhea (often bloody) and vomiting.
